The holidays are here, and at ThriveFit, we’re helping you stay strong, consistent, and motivated with our Sleigh the Green Challenge! From November 17 to December 12, we’re encouraging members to rack up Myzone points in the green zone — where effort meets results. The top two participants with the most points will win a special prize, but everyone who joins will win the reward of feeling stronger, fitter, and more energized this season.

What is the green zone? This heart rate zone is 70-79% of your max heart rate, as determined by your age, gender, and weight. This particular zone is understood to be ideal for sustainable strength training and building muscle. It's not so hard that you feel wiped out for the rest of the day, but tough enough that you're getting a great sweat and building muscle.

Another reason we love the green zone is that it keeps you burning fat, rather than sugars. if you're like most of our members, you're joining our gym to get results. Maintaining your heart rate at a fat burn stage is critical to maximize progress and reduce those post-workout cravings for sugars and cereals, which (spoiler alert) undo all that progress you just made in the gym.
